Dr. David Crosson at ChiroFit

Dr. David Crosson

Doctor of Chiropractic · Clinical Director

TPI Level 2 Medical · CrossFit Level 1 Trainer · CrossFit Games athlete · SFMA, FRR, FRCms

Dr. Dave has been a lifelong chiropractic patient whose interest in movement and chiropractic began while in college. Watching his basketball team's chiropractor and physical therapist collaborate seamlessly inspired him by demonstrating how to achieve pain relief while teaching patients how to maintain and improve their body's function.

A lifelong athlete, this experience led Dr. Dave to continually learn—for both his patients' well-being and his own. His practice demonstrates this. By working with not only families but many elite athletes over the years, he has added many tools to his approach to continually enhance how his practice improves musculoskeletal health. For Dr. Dave, this work is not just a job; it is a passion project.

He took his doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic (Florida Campus) and co-owned CrossFit Barrington from 2015 to 2024.

How care works here

Assessed, not guessed at

Your first visit starts with a full assessment and orthopedic testing to find why the painful spot is being overloaded, not only where it hurts. The assessment draws on named systems: the Selective Functional Movement Assessment, the Functional Movement Screen, Functional Range Conditioning and Functional Range Release. On your second visit you hear what it found, in plain language, with a doctor, before any treatment starts.

One plan, one building

Adjustment, manual and soft-tissue therapy, dry needling, shockwave, laser and progressive corrective exercise are combined in one plan, in one building, with one team. You do not have to decide whether you need a chiropractor or a physical therapist, and you do not carry your history between two clinics.

You won't just be lying on a table

Treatment here is something you do, not only something done to you. You will learn the movements that matter for what you are trying to get back to, and why each one is in the plan. Building a body that lasts is the goal.

If you train, read how we work with CrossFit athletes. If you play, read about golf and TPI care.

What it's like to be a patient here

Your appointment starts when it's scheduled to start

That is a standard we hold ourselves to. Your forms are done online before you arrive, your doctor is ready when you are, and you are back to your day on schedule. We open at 7 AM Monday, Wednesday and Friday, stay open until 7 PM Monday through Thursday, and see patients Saturday mornings from 8 to 11.

Your first two visits

Your first visit takes about 30 to 40 minutes: your history, an examination, an assessment and orthopedic testing, and imaging only if it is warranted. On your second visit your doctor goes through the findings, what needs to be done, and the cost, with you in the room, before any treatment starts.

What to expect at your first visit

What it costs

A first visit without insurance is $65 to $100 depending on the level of visit. Your second visit, where you hear the findings and the plan, is at no charge. If you have insurance we take your card at the first visit, verify your benefits, and tell you any copay or coinsurance then. X-rays and any additional testing are discussed with you before they are done.
